-Seniors are not as useless as people think

9. The role of Senior Net Club on helping the society to become more
familiar with IT.
As we mentioned earlier, we cannot just assume that seniors are incompetent
when it comes to Information Technology.
Seniors should teach their fellow seniors IT classes to activate the IT
education in our society.
The most common response to my statement is that they cannot find anyone to
supervise. We cannot be standing here, waiting for some to come. We need
to try and find the people we need.
Our activities help the seniors to participate in the society, and also,
seniors are able to find new meanings in their lives. Senior Net Club
believes that the quality of our senior supporters is important, and we will
be having seminars once a year for the senior supporters.
When teaching at community center, we are often requested to teach all ages
because the city officials believes that it is not fair to be teaching the
seniors
only. However, the learning levels of different ages are very different,
and it is often very difficult to teach different ages in the same class. I
would like you to understand that it is essential to see things from the
instructorsf point of view in order to have effective PC classes.
