PC Support Report

Information Plaza NTT Hall Activity Report
Year 2000

Name: Kinzou Tanaka

All students were in my generation. They all seemed friendly and no one seemed to be nervous. We were using Roma-ji and it confused some people who were not used to it. M, one of the students is 74 year-old. We were supposed to prepare to introduce ourselves as homework. On the day that it was due, I looked at M's notebook and found out that she wrote about herself in Japanese, but had Roma-ji under it. She smiled and said; "I learned it from my grandchild yesterday." Her smile was very impressive.

The levels of classes vary depends on the class you take, and the instructors seemed to know what they were doing. Therefore, I feel that everyone was able to enjoy the class. As I was supporting the students, I realized that it is important for us, supporters not to get supported. And when dealing with students, we should consider the students' characteristics and only support them when needed. Some students still send me the SOS signals to me even though they already finished taking our class. That means that they are continuing to learn about the computer and makes me very happy.

To maintain my skills, I read various magazines or go on home pages and gather information. I also look at some Q & A about PCs and study how I would answer questions.(Of course, there are many things I cannot answer.) Furthermore, I try to work on my own computer when installing software and hardware.

I enjoy making new friends on Internet. And I would like to continue making new friends, and since I got involved with PCs, I wish to get some sort of certificates.
